I agree, AI could make mainstream films more formulaic,prioritize profits over artistry & diminish the visual storytelling audiences cherish,while silencing many indie voices.This makes indie film more vital than ever, w/ the challenge being to build alternative distribution so they reach audiences.

Totally agree, the campaign clearly objectified her for the male gaze, but also played on aspirational femininity to hook women. The limited edition angle and celebrity tie-in were smart ways to drive hype and urgency.

It’s true, many now default to AI without considering the environmental cost or whether it’s necessary. Convenience often outweighs consciousness, even for tasks a simple search could handle. We need more awareness about the trade-offs behind these tools.

Exactly. AI isn’t neutral, it reflects biases like racism, misogyny, transphobia, and other oppressive structures embedded in the data and systems it’s trained on. These technologies often reinforce the very injustices they claim to address or eliminate.
