Here's one:
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Here's one:
Bluesky has add content filters that include "rude" and a few other things... let me see if I can find the post on how to turn them off.

And, I guess more importantly, how do I support my faculty colleagues who don't know the basics regarding accessibility (using headings or tagging PDFs) to teach their students about submitting accessible assignments?

As someone who teaches two sections of two different courses, now in week 12, I'm not sure how to address this. Do I now need to spend a class session reviewing how to make documents accessible? what happens if students submit pictures or scans of their assignments?

And then this morning, I got this email:
"The recent updates to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act not only impact course content, but work submitted by students as well. Student submissions must be accessible, especially if intended to be reviewed by their classmates.

I’d make some joke like “oh good, I’d been dying to know if this extinct animals had a gall bladder” except that’s absolutely the kind of thing I do want to know, thanks Wikipedia.

Oh, it's fascinating to me that you don't know this story! Maybe it's a regional thing from around the Great Lakes.

Don't worry, reactions happen like this privately in conference proposals, too! A research group I'm in had a proposal rejected because our methodology on comparing publication rates didn't show that the people who got published didn't deserve it more than those who didn't get published.

The #ExecutiveFunctionTheft of having to opt out.
Feeling annoyed at the cognitive cost of having to dismiss all the offers of "AI" assitance every time I use Acrobat to provide feedback on documents my students wrote. (NO I do NOT want an "AI" summary of this. In what world???)
