"We didn't design them to last 30 years or 40 years, we designed them not to fail.” - John Casani

It was an honor to interview John Casani, NASA JPL legend and Voyager project manager 1975-1977. He will be surely missed around the world.

if you’re out protesting elon/tesla with a sign with a sw*stika on it, you have lost the plot. you’re not protesting n*zis you’re marketing for them. in “protesting elon” you’ve screamed in the face of a Jewish woman while waving a hate symbol in her face. fuck you.

if the president can say “i don’t like the department of energy,” and within a week it’s closed, then the constitution means nothing, and the president’s entire claim to power is the loyalty of the military. either he is constrained by the constitution or he’s a dictator, there isn’t a middle ground

I think this means that I might be……Gohded with the sauce…
Sometimes when Katherine is ignoring me I dribble a little marinara on her until she’s annoyed enough to take action.

Goaded with the sauce.

Dogged journalism at its best. And love @sphillipsab.bsky.social's take: "If I don’t pay my mortgage...the bank takes away my house. If oil companies don’t pay their monitoring fees, which are a condition of their approval to extract the resources that belong to Albertans, nothing happens.”
Three years later, the Alberta government has finally released names of 16 oilsands companies that allegedly flouted rules requiring them to pay for independent environmental monitoring by scientists. @mikedesouza.bsky.social obtained the data.
