AuDHD writer/ former editor who lost my mojo in 2017 after a major concussion. Still chasing it around...

I enjoy and may post about books, writing, photography, food, autism/ADHD, exvangelicalism, pop culture, or my current deep fixation.
This whole section is full of my people.

See, Mom? I told you it was a good thing.

Took at minute to be sure it was satire in the current environment.

Feeling seen, right here.

Remember the thing about the two wolves?

To be honest it's more of two squirrels - one a fastidious clean freak, and the other a hyper-caffeinated monster who wants to do all of the things, right bloody now!

Mine is a mischievous fox and a disapproving hedgehog.

The fox just wants to be entertained, and will stay up all night for it. The hedgehog wants her dinner on time and bed promptly at 9.

If you can't find a word or you don't know something, but you've managed to get on a roll, use brackets. Describe the word or thing inside the brackets and keep writing. Helps keep momentum.

Also works when you're stuck. Just start some brackets and talk about the weather.

You've got this!

We (and I'm queen of this 😂) put incredible pressure on ourselves as creatives. We set lofty goals that, for some of us, end up keeping us from starting (or finishing), because we want perfect.

One more tip, then I'll just be here cheering you on. (1/2)

Movement first, whatever movement works for you. A little outdoors too.

Then write one word. Just one. If that sparks another, write on.

If it doesn't, still celebrate. You wrote a word you didn't have before.

Then repeat tomorrow. Or later today.

Hello! Sometimes YA, NA, or just adult, usually with a dash of sarcasm and fantasy.

Very nice to meet you!

Vets with PTSD, autistic people with sound sensitivity, and most animals suffer for that "just one night".

It used to be just the Fourth of July. Go back to that and we can talk.
