I like watching movies and t.v. and having opinions about them.
Oh yes, that is terrible. Terribly good!

Lily LaTorre is absolutely charming and adorable. Jack LaTorre plays her brother, who I am assuming is her actual brother. The whole family in the movie was super sweet.

Additional bonus was watching lots of dogs run agility courses and lots of Aussie music.

In several scenes, there was also another scene going on in the background, which was hilarious.

A lot of the acting was awful but that made the movie funnier.

In fact, it leans into being terrible and makes a joke of it.

A micro budget parody of 50s sci-fi. Brilliant, I was laughing in the first few minutes. If they had a bigger budget, they could have made this even more brilliantly terrible...cont.

Having them call each other mummy and daddy throughout added to the weird creepiness. I've really liked Bea's acting work. She is a natural actor. Eero Milonoff was super creepy.

I partially guessed the twist early on but it was still fun.

I say that as someone who can't get a bottle of water overseas because of my accent and I don't think my accent is that strong.

I did enjoy Wilson ragging on rom-com tropes for five minutes and then every one of those tropes playing out.

Is that Liam Hemsworth's normal accent? It sounded extra Australian. God, our accents are terrible...cont.

Bening's character is pretty unbearable so I ended up feeling sorry for Nighy and O'Connor's characters. I mean she named her dog after her husband and taught him the play dead trick where she said 'die Edward' as the command.

I loved Margot Robbie in this and Sebastian Stan's moustache and turtle neck sweater was mesmerising. But Allison Janney, absolutely outstanding.

Obviously what they did to Nancy Kerrigan was completely unacceptable however this is a good representation of the pressure of individual competative sport and the effects of domestic violence, poverty and lack of education...cont.

The Russian space suit was appallingly. The costume department dropped the ball with that. It was local theatre making their own costumes quality.

The main issue with this was it took itself too seriously for a Russian mutant space booby shark movie.

The production values were somewhat ok but also quite shit. One minute it's ok and the next scene I wondered who ok-ed this.

The half CGI half costume sharks were so odd, some of the sharks had boobs. The astronaut moonwalk was more like a moon stroll...cont.

There was nothing particularly wrong with this but I wasn't terribly engaged. The characters were cute enough and the story was ok. It was just missing something.

The evolution of Cosmo's hair and the band's clothing was a trip through 80s New Romantics, delightful.

I'm a sucker for a great soundtrack and this was a fantastic one. Also, describing The Cure as 'happy sad' was perfect.

The basket boy thing was weird. Juli was way too good for Bryce. Bryce's dad was a jerk, there was a hint at a deeper story but it wasn't explored. Bryce's granddad was lovely.

It was great seeing Rebecca De Mornay. She looked exactly as she did in the 90s.
