Many governments want to move on, but the situation in Palestine requires that we keep our attention and pressure. That’s why I wrote this, which I hope you can read and share.

Look what I found when I searched "ICE uniform" in Google Shopping.

None of us have any way of knowing if the "ICE agent" pushing you into a car, isn't just some unbalanced vigilante into cosplay. These are very dangerous times.

I’ve never forgotten this picture from 2016 and how it completely reshaped my understanding of how the media covers protests.
But if a few people in masks start lighting stuff on fire? Then you have news. This creates an *enormous* attentional advantage towards the most violent and chaotic kind of protest.

One of the (many) bizarre things about covering the Jan. 6 docket is that some evidentiary videos ended up finding a home in my iPhoto library, right with all my other content.

This one features Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who was hit with spray, had two strokes, and died hours later.

Respect to @anntelnaes.bsky.social for quitting the Washington Post due to censorship over her on-point cartoon. More of this from artists and writers, please. Don't obey in advance, especially to the broligarchy.

Good morning.

The Speaker Games are here again.

Current setup:
Republicans - 219
Democrats - 215

Assuming the Democrats vote in lockstep for Jeffries, Mike Johnson can only afford to lose 2 Republican votes.

Massie (R, KY) is allegedly a hard no.

Let the Games begin.
