The cheese stretched and pulled when I bit but it was still solid enough to slice clean. Probably could have fried for 30 seconds longer

Broccoli Cheddar Soup with Garlic Croutons

Once heated through, I added the rest of the chicken stock and some half & half. Simmered to desired consistency, adjusted seasoning, and added the small florets for the final few minutes. Immediately before serving, I added most of the sharp white cheddar. Fried garlic chips & croutons for garnish

I blended down the roasted veggies with half of my chicken stock. Meanwhile, I sweated the onions and garlic in the remaining garlic oil. Some flour to make a roux and dry vermouth to deglaze. Then I added in the blended vegetable mixture.

I roasted the large veggies in salt and more of the garlic oil until the cut sides are satisfyingly browned. If you buy whole broccoli, this is a nice way to use the stalks.

I must be out of my mind because I made broccoli cheese soup yesterday despite the heat. Anyway I started by infusing some garlic oil and making garlic croutons from old bread. Carrots, broccoli stalks, and the larger florets all halved and washed. The small florets washed separately.

Crust is done, bananas layered in, homemade pudding is setting. I use banana flavoring in addition to the vanilla for the pudding
