I envy those who can discuss politics with their parents. Regardless of political affiliation. The ability to have constructive conversations and compare shared values and belief sets. When I am faced with this the results are tension, dodging arguments or arguments.

Censorship is a means to control. In what society can freedom exist with censoring anything that doesn't follow an agenda? The only thing that should be censored, is when privacy of the individual is necessary. Not access to education/history.
