It’s College Night at the DBAP. Wool E. Bull, Rameses, the NCCU Eagle, and Mr & Ms Wuf all introduced. But no mention or appearance by the Blue Devil. Did my heart good that in Durham tonight, they had to pretend like Duke University doesn’t even exist. @carolinainsiderpod.bsky.social

Fortunate to tour there in 1984 with my UNC History Professor, Dr. Willis Brooks. At 74, my grandmother then painted this watercolor from my photos. Wonderful memories of them both.

Running the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler in DC this morning, and had trouble sleeping just from the excitement. But when I woke up and saw this news, I realized that somehow I must have already known another reason to be happy. Always a GDTBATH!

Wiki tells me it’s a few days past, but saw this at the James Taylor Bridge this morning, which goes over Morgan Creek of Copperline fame. (15-501 at Culbreth Rd, Chapel Hill). Saw him at Wolftrap in September, and he’s still terrific.

Back in the day, during the tourney the best teachers rolled in the TV on a cart. But now we watch at Town Hall, and see what kind of specially designed burger or wings the team has concocted. Don’t worry— the Mando Burger is still available. Go Heels!

Good for you continuing on your quest! We dropped by to see our cousin, who sets up and runs the video technology for the tournament. He’s a great guy, but I had very mixed feelings seeing a relative wearing an ACC uniform

Always knew that I won the Spouse Lottery and the Great Kid Lottery, but today I won the @cucb.bsky.social 10 Mile Lottery, which was unexpected! The perfect challenge to get me through winter, which I usually dread. @coachbennett.bsky.social This is about running. This is not about running!

On my afternoon run today, saw workers decorating the Old Well for the holidays. Which reminded me of some of last year’s favorite pictures. Even when it’s cold, it’s always a GDTBATH!
