Pakistan said it shot down five Indian jets on May 7, 2025, amid the worst India-Pakistan violence in decades. But a viral image of a burning aircraft is unrelated. It actually shows a 2024 jet crash in Rajasthan during a routine night training mission.

Tremors from the March 28 #EarthquakeinMyanmar flattened a Bangkok building. As rescue ops entered day 5, viral footage claimed a new survivor was found. But the video was filmed the day of the collapse. Officials also told AFP there were no new survivors on April 1.

#EarthquakeinMyanmar collapsed several buildings but rumours that the country's most sacred Buddhist site has crumbled are inaccurate. The Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon in fact has not been destroyed, and the false posts have misrepresented footage of another temple.
