I never said anyone had a "right" to attack him. Nor did I claim that it should be legal to attack him (or, more accurately, steal his glasses). I do think it's predictable when you purposefully antagonize people trying to get a reaction, though. And, personally, I'm fine with bigots getting hit.

Nobody should be punished by the state for their speech. That doesn't mean you can go provoke whomever you'd like and they won't personally respond to it. This man also went beyond political speech into outright hate speech and slurs. Folks who do that might need a pop in the mouth.

Look, if/when a better candidate for Governor appears, I will throw my support and energy behind them. In the meantime, I'm not going to purity test myself out of a good thing. There are many reasons real leftism doesn't exist here. One of them is self-ea5ing factions.

Energy can be better spent elsewhere. There won't be a No Kings march next month, but there will be canvassing, phone banking, voting registration drives, and other actions to push back against the regime.
