You can’t separate the massacre from the hatred and white supremacy that fueled it. The scholarship is clear, the survivor accounts are clear, and the state reports are clear. This isn’t new information.

All of those sources you listed make the same point. Greenwood was targeted because it was a thriving Black community in a racist system that refused to tolerate Black success.
