When TB treatment is interrupted, patients are far more likely to develop drug-resistant TB, which is a catastrophe both individually (the disease becomes harder to cure) and societally (we're allowing the bacteria millions of new opportunities to develop further resistance). Many people will die.

4. #CDC says so far this year there've been 16M #flu illnesses, 190K hospitalizations & 8,300 deaths. Most illness has been caused by flu A viruses, with a 45%-55% split between H1N1 & H3N2. The H1 component of the flu vax was well matched this year, the H3 not so much.

2. #Flu activity had started to decline in the 2nd week of January, but it was climbing again in the week ending 1/18. 15 jurisdictions had very high flu activity; 24 had high. Montana seems to be having a very light flu season; not sure why that would be.
