The CDC's FoodNet program has reduced required surveillance from eight foodborne pathogens to two, a move some experts warn could leave the country more vulnerable to outbreaks.

EDITOR'S NOTE: "For those of us at the Mississippi Free Press, this is a significant blow. We left Twitter earlier this year for a lot of reasons, and have since made BlueSky our main social media platform (it’s also where we have the most followers)," Ashton Pittman writes.

Odd how, if you train an AI to not be “woke”, it becomes bigoted. 🤔🤔🤔

Take time today to read the Declaration of Independence. The words of men who were far from the ideals they inscribed. I'm not celebrating the government today. It's sick, and grotesque. Today I will hope for the people to be brave, to stand up for ideals we are still far from. #IndependenceDay

Very excited to see Zorhan Mamdami's primary victory. It's a glimmer of a new vision for the party, and a testament to the effectiveness of ranked choice voting. #newyork

If I'm confident of anything, it's that Trump has no idea who this woman is, or the job she does. She's not white, and is therefore unqualified in the eyes of people like Steven Miller.

@tbfighters.org @partnersinhealth.bsky.social this is a great example of using ur voice & well-honed personal story to be heard. Now is a great time since Congress is on break. Include a request for ur rep to hold a town hall if they have been shirking that responsibility.

Most intense three and a half weeks of my life but also hugely fulfilling. I've gotten to meet so many people fighting TB and other diseases of injustice. I'm disgusted and outraged by the unfolding catastrophe in human health, but TB Fighters make me believe a better world is possible.

Amid the heartbreak in so many directions, it was a wondrous balm to spend today on Capitol Hill with over 200 TB Fighters from every state in the U.S. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who made it happen from @tbfighters.org to @partnersinhealth.bsky.social. Together, we are strong.

@johngreensbluesky.bsky.social I've identified a topic for your next Senate briefing. The lack of Diet Dr Pepper in the Senate cafeteria. How can we solve big problems when we aren't tackling the easy ones?

@charlessoule.bsky.social Hi Mr Soule, I had a clarifying question about your Trials pre-order bonus. Many in our collecting group get the special Goldsboro edition from the UK. You mention only US editions, but also all special editions. Would the Goldsboro qualify? Thanks!
