This is by far the most wonderful story I've read all week. I'll be linking to it in tomorrow's newsletter.

I haven't seen it get too much attention so I'm sharing it here as well.

I’ve enjoyed REN’s storytelling for a while now. It’s uncomfortable, poignant, and beautiful.

I received my *very* limited edition run (2 copies) of the first book I’ve ever written. A children-esque holiday fairy tale adventure inspired by and written for a 63 year old man! Barry Bob and BoBo Almost Ruin Christmas.

I started my first novel the spring of 2024 and accidentally ended up writing my first novelette in the summer. Nothing to be published, but it was a blast and I learned so much. The sci-fi novel is far from finished, but I’m making progress.

This book is eerily prescient. Read it; I dare you.
The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. But did you know that there's a book written by a Black woman about a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and societal decline. The book was published in 1993, but is set in 2024 following a presidential election 👀 #BookSky #BlackBookSky

I visited Seoul’s impressive Cheonggyecheon stream and pedestrian space in Sept ‘24. Watching a crane pluck fish out of the water while taking a break from the dense city, I was keenly aware of how the natural environment decreased my stress, allowing me to reengage the city in a relaxed manner.

I’ve been a lifelong student of cities, density, and urbanism. And then I went to Tokyo and realized I didn’t know anything about cities, density, and urbanism.
