something I think is underdiscussed about employment/capitalism discourse is that abusive/bad labor/management practices are probably more common in nonprofits and trendy organizations that people on the left are likely to work for than big boring office companies

Does it matter what people think of you? It would certainly seem to matter to those who rely on approval or at least acceptance. No man can know what people think of himself. Even if the words are formed and hurled at their recipient, those words cannot truly reveal the extent of emotion.
