Ohio passed a constitutional amendment along these lines. However, R run legislature continues to gerrymander. Ohio Supreme Court finds their map unconstitutional but they just submit same map over and over until election time and it is too late to use anything else.
I have a thought:
Instead of either party redrawing district lines "from the hip" ... I think there should be a non-partisan, unbiased formula created to periodically redraw lines. Maybe have an unbiased, non-partisan group of intelligent ppl create it.
