Received my 2024 @michelfiffe.bsky.social commission of Jack Kirby today and teared up upon seeing it. I think it captures the essence of the King and one of my personal heroes beautifully; I hope you enjoy it too.

It’s poetry captured in pencil and a fine tribute to one of the best artists and best men to ever shape the world of comics. Long live the king.

You’d think someone in the publishing industry might have caught that before sending it to print.

Arriving at the conclusion "you can never morally justify any side in a violent conflict," is just an excuse to be complicit with colonizers and murderous empires while reveling in their excesses.

The conflict is here and "both sides are bad" is a sophomoric conclusion based in self-comfort.
