Therefore, E4 seems to act as a weak estrogen agonist on this system. This contrasts with its antagonizing action on the circuit underlying the estrogen-induced positive feedback (www.eneuro.org/content/11/1...).

Fantastic talk by Svante Pääbo after receiving his Doctor honoris Causa from @universitedeliege.bsky.social this afternoon. Presentation by Anneline Pinson from the Neuroendocrinology lab. And, unexpected appearance of progesterone receptor which might have played a role in human evolution.
