25 years ago today: the most consequential presidential election of my lifetime. 36 days later, it was effectively decided by the Supreme Court. Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, who voted with the majority, would later she regretted that the court accepted the case.

She ran unopposed because her opponent--Patriots owner Bob Kraft's son--withdrew a few months ago after realizing he had no hope of winning.

At a recent presentation at Cambridge, (prince) Andrew biographer Andrew Lownie claims Epstein and Melania Trump were in a relationship before he introduced her to Trump. When his biography on Andrew was released, Trump forced the publisher to redact those portions. www.youtube.com/watch?v=62j0...

On Saturday, funding for SNAP benefits will run out due to Trump's government shutdown, affecting 42.6 million Americans. Republicans could end this today by negotiating a sensible CR.

Three nights ago, I had dinner with friends at an upscale restaurant. Tonight, I devoured the latter half of a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheddar & Sour Cream Ruffles. I don’t know where this places me on the political spectrum, but I’m open to interpretations.

This is Mohammad Salman Hamdani. His parents were Pakistani and Muslim immigrants and came to the U.S. when he was an infant.
He was an EMT and NYPD cadet who rushed to the Twin Towers on 9/11 to help victims. He died there attempting to save lives. He was 23.
