With over 94,000 children in temporary accommodation in London, the need for social homes has never been more urgent.

It's worrying to see developers are pushing to water down affordable housing requirements.

This is a big increase - £39bn for the Affordable Homes Programme. We need to see how much is focused on social rent - but our estimates suggest they could get close to the numbers built under the last labour government.

We helped Craig David go back to his childhood social home where he wrote many of his songs, and talks about how important it was to have a stable place to call home in helping him thrive. We need many more social homes so that other people can have the same foundation. #SocialHousing

As teased on #ThisMorning, Craig David visited his childhood social home in support of our campaign calling for investment in social housing.

Absurd. 1.3m households are on the waiting list yet we continue to LOSE more homes than we build.

New stats show a net loss of 650 social homes last year. Tell the government the ONLY way to end #homelessness is by investing in social homes.

Last year we spent around £2bn on temporary accommodation like B&Bs/hostels. And we're spending billions subsidising skyrocketing private rents as there's no social housing. In the last 60yrs government flipped from investing in our future with buildings and bricks to paying private landlords. #home
