I’ve read Doors of Perception. Haven’t seen wife’s book. Huxley, C.S. Lewis died 11/22/63 day JFK killed. So their deaths didn’t receive news coverage. I don’t know if psychedelic drugs is a valid path to mysticism. You can grow mescaline in UK but prepping it for consumption is illegal.

Dr. King had a deep understanding for need of agape love — a concern for wellbeing of others. We have to face our fears and act with courage, faith, love, mercy, never being unkind or harsh. This 1963 book is important to me. It’s on my top 10 list.

W.H. Auden’s pre-war and post-war poems. Poeticus Interruptus — pungent, concise, funny, raunchy, deadly serious, religious, pagan, cynical, sweet. Must be read as one book, a perfect companion for our age of anxiety.

It’s obvious that authoritarian Trump and Neo-Fascist Republicans want people to fear their government. In a democracy, it’s better for the government to fear the people.

The same is true of traumatized pets in Gaza. I have a contact there. The IDF routinely shoot cats and dogs. I've also heard there are pet food and veterinary medications in Ukraine. I hope God is infuriated. I know I am.
