This book has frightened me twice: the first time I read it in sixth form and when I realized it was coming true. We have been dehumanized by technology and are psychologically manipulated.

Dr. King had a deep understanding for need of agape love — a concern for wellbeing of others. We have to face our fears and act with courage, faith, love, mercy, never being unkind or harsh. This 1963 book is important to me. It’s on my top 10 list.

W.H. Auden’s pre-war and post-war poems. Poeticus Interruptus — pungent, concise, funny, raunchy, deadly serious, religious, pagan, cynical, sweet. Must be read as one book, a perfect companion for our age of anxiety.

Wet Routemaster London — Inspired by painting 'Rue de Paris temps de pluie’ Gustave Caillebotte, I shot a roll of CineStill 800 ISO with my 1973 Yashica Electro GSN with f/2.8 aperture. I wanted blurred background like French impressionist painting. A rare foray into colour which intimidates me.

I don’t think Mr. Miller looks like the head of a penis. His face is more like a sphincter and his head like a trans man’s big clitoris. But Mr. Miller DOES look like a penile implant: white, plastic, hard, brainless, no personality, inflatable, full of wind.

I read his book during pandemic. I relished his anger, wit, courage, uncompromising attitude. Never racist-troped as “uppity” he was always described as “scary.” I’m a non-violent person (maybe cowardly) but there’s value in making oppressors feel fear, discomfort, anxiety. I’m sad he died so young.
