I dunno if anything else of note happened this week but I read that new hardcover of Spectators by BKV/Henrichon and that's a beautiful book about sex, violence, and ghosts.

So the other day I realized I was on the verge of a depressive episode that was looking really nasty and then i bought myself concert tickets (three of them, specifically. Three night My Morning Jacket stretch in Chicago in October) and gave myself something to look forward to that wasn't a movie.

Reading Starman in its entirety for the first time and I genuinely don't think a book like that could run for 80 issues these days. Especially not without at least one relaunch at #1.
Had read the majority of the series before, but not every issue was collected very well Way Back When.

Dad wanted to go watch Riff Raff (good cast, okay movie) and it was only playing out of town, which was cool because it put us over at the IMAX for Mickey 17. And as I explained to him, I wasn't gonna drive over for one and skip out on the other.
