I am far more interested in what I don't know than what I do know.
When are these shitheads going to learn that pointing a gun at a person qualifies as a use of force.

And if that use of force isn't warranted - and I assure you, the bar is high for aiming a weapon - then it is excessive force, which is actionable.

Sue the bastards into the ground.

Specifically in rural areas. That's where the National Parks are.

Donald Trump continues to do harm to the rural voters who elected him.

Every one of his policies - tariffs, mass deportation, healthcare cuts, SNAP cuts, cuts to infrastructure - hurt rural areas and industries the most.

I was working in financial services and could see (and wrote about) how the internet was going to change my industry.

Now I can see how AI will change my work, and possibly eliminate my position.

Yesterday my boss assigned me a task and the assignment read exactly like an AI prompt.

Reduced income from the parks will justify their privatization.

Ha ha ha!

Torture prison in El Salvador! That's hilarious!

President Trump has such a sense of humor!

Man, oh, man. Who doesn't like laughing about concentration camps.

His only concern is his son.

The message is clear: No concern at all for his son's mother.

What sort of liability does this create for her?

Does this not make her the target of any criminal contempt action?

Does it also open her to civil legal action by the men who were sent to CECOT?

Can she claim qualified immunity when she defies a Court order?

Donald Trump, once again, doing everything he can to bring harm to the rural Americans who elected him.

Federal District Courts can no longer presume that statements by DOJ lawyers are true.

The Supreme Court shouldn't presume it either.

Umm... dude. That's not what is making cars expensive.

Detroit could build cheaper cars. They just don't want to.

Much of it may have been obvious (to people who thought about it), but the article did a good job of saying all those things which, even if obvious, needed to be said.

She confirmed that the laws of supply and demand were not going away, but the things that were scarce or in demand would change.

What employer health insurance works this way?

Oh, right. None of them.

The Republicans go on and on about how horrible Obamacare is and how expensive it is, and then they come out with their proposal and what is it?

Obamacare, just more expensive.

Esther Dyson wrote an article for WIRED magazine in July 1995.

I still have it.
I sometimes re-read it.
I give it to interns to read.

In the July 1995 issue of WIRED magazine, there is an article by Esther Dyson on where to create value in the online economy, and she predicted that there will be value in certifications of quality.

Esther Dyson had it right 30 years ago.

I think it's weird for the executives of companies to have politics so opposite of their customers.

I think it just goes to show that they are not doing things in their customers interest but instead have contempt for their customers.

When it's recited at the start of a meeting, like a school board meeting, I don't say the "under God" part.

Is it the wool wether-proof?

The fashion industry defies satire when no comedian can conjure a more outrageous idea for them than the ones they conjure for themselves.

Maybe she could put out an album of songs with misheard lyrics.

I don't understand people who try to defend their racism by saying that it was casual and effortless.

Would saying "Quiet, Piggy" to the flight attendants count as behaving better on an airplane?

When air travel treated passengers like they were on an ocean liner, the passengers dressed and acted like they were on an ocean liner.

When air travel treats passengers like they are on an intercity bus, the passengers dress and act like they are on an intercity bus.

The airlines set the tone.
