Our military budget is almost $3,000 per person. Our National Weather Service was budgeted to cost less than $5 per person, but Trump's DOGE cut 30% of the budget and 17% of the staff. Now we're not prepared to warn people of looming disasters.

At the Supreme Court, about 1,000 people gathered under the leadership of Rev. William Barber of Repairers of the Breach. People graphically explained why they rely on Medicaid and food stamps. Coffins represented the people who will die because of the cuts.
