Anyway, I wrote about driving the French Riviera, the Route des Grandes Alpes, and Provence’s lavender region, plus the book’s feature pages. None of them quite match the majesty of I-70 in western Kansas, but they’re alright, and you can read about them, and more, in Road Trips in Europe, out now.

If you’re American, you might think they don’t have cars in Europe. I did! So when DK Eyewitness asked me to write about road-tripping there, I was like, “Wait a minute. You mean to tell me that those Continentals got trams with tires now?”

Hey #Milwaukee, enjoy hiking but not, like, *that* much? Then check out these five sub-2-mile trails I wrote about for the November issue of Milwaukee magazine. You’ll be back on the couch before you know it!

Bit late on this but DK Eyewitness’ Road Trips in the USA is out now. I wrote the book’s intro, feature pages, and 14 drives, including the heavenly Hana Highway, an Appalachian ramble on the Midland Trail National Scenic Byway, the Lake Michigan Circle Tour & the ultimate coast-to-coast expedition.

Unforgettable Journeys: The Americas is now out from DK Eyewitness. I wrote about chasing tornadoes, road-tripping on Alaska’s most godforsaken highway, gunkholing (real word) on Lake Michigan, and other ways to get lost in America. With thanks to Keith Drew for taking the wheel on this project.

Out today! I wrote about New River Gorge, America’s newest NP, for DK Eyewitness’ new edition of USA National Parks: Lands of Wonder. Lots of new in there. Anyway, the book’s gorgeous, the park’s gorgeous, and you should check them both out.
