That look when the cat knows you’re about to practice guitar, and she’s gonna hafta get out of her comfy warm bed and leave the room.

I was gonna post some joke along the lines of forget Alan Tudyk; Mr. Bean is the original TV space alien trying to fit in as a human. Then I realized it’s not just a funny interpretation; he really is.

I recently visited Wisconsin. And a friend came bearing gifts from the UK. And I probably buy more cheese than I ought to generally. Anyway, the upshot is that this is my fridge, not the cheese cooler at the supermarket. . . .

Tintin read-through, book 19 (of 21): The Castafiore Emerald. The least adventurous of all the stories, perhaps, but my favorite. Focused entirely on the characters (particularly Haddock). Hysterically funny; I laughed all the way through this spread.

When one cat is too smart for your puzzle toy, and the other is too dumb.

Is it really fresh bruschetta season in late October? My tomatoes and basil plants haven’t given up yet, so neither shall I!

I’m giving Tintin a re-read (all of it!), and I’ve come to the scene that freaked me right the fuck out when I was 11.

Second one coming in? (Last second of the video.)

More incoming? (From the last second of the video.)

The one tomato plant that didn’t succumb to disease this summer has decided that mid-October is a great time for a comeback. I’m not gonna argue with it.

I took this screen shot of the Dept of Housing and Urban Development’s website this morning.

Using a government website for politicking is illegal. You are looking at actual evidence of and actual crime by this administration.

This is why you should back Cypher now, instead of checking it out later. And we're about to unlock another goal that will up that value even more.

Just hours left. Seriously, what are you waiting for? mymcg.info/cypher

I think the Divination Deck might be the undersung hero of the Cypher campaign. Turn a card for an intrusion idea, an NPC, a creature, an NPC trait, an interesting event, upcoming weather, or just a shot of inspiration? Upgraded to deluxe finish? I can't wait for this thing!

Tell me what democracy looks like!
This is what democracy looks like!

Great turnout in Topeka. No counter protesters. Certainly no lawlessness. A great crowd happy to let our lawmakers know what we think about this rogue regime!

Getting ready for tomorrow. Getting excited for it, too!

Here are some lilies blooming in our garden. A small reminder that not everything is awful.

Season’s first tomato. Lots of branches stripped of leaves, too. Hornworms are big and usually easy to spot even when the plant gets bushy, but I have searched and searched and can’t find the f**ker.

I love the hidden detail lurking in so much of Invisible Sun's amazing art. Check out the cat's fur; the eye-like clock; the face in the green mist. Roberto Pitturru really captured the game's surreal mood. (More at mymcg.info/indigo)

I’m doing a little maintenance on the pollinator garden this morning, and I made a new friend!

All right, @latiajacquise.com, I see your monstera and raise you a— wait. No, I guess I just call.

My friends, this has been a really exciting campaign to run, and I'm pretty proud of some of the innovative things we've done with it. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, I really urge you to take a look--and I'd love it if you'd give it a share!
