Nigel Farage and Reform /UKIP as they did with #Brexit is driving the British Government’s policy.

It didn’t go well with Brexit and there will be unintended consequences with the new #asylum and #migration policies.

How much anger is there actually in the U.K. over migrants?

Have a new iPhone. What a faff getting it set up. Thought everything would simply transfer from my four year old SE2020 smoothly. Still I had a bonus morning as #parkrun cancelled & I think it is all set up now. As an older person I am still not sure about Apple Pay. Need to move with the times tho.

Sadly Gorey #parkrun called off this morning at 8am due to waterlogged course. #stormclaudia

Will be back next week.

Second swim at the pool today. Did 850 metres and found swimming more than two lengths very difficult, it will come back to me as I used to swim a mile front crawl nonstop twice a week. Pleased that my SWOLF had improved from 50 to 48 this swim.

#parkrun on Sat in danger of cancellation.

Took out a month’s membership at the local leisure centre. Had my first swim in a 25m pool for over 5 years. Found it difficult to do even two lengths but eventually completed 16 such efforts with a short rest between each interval. Luxuriated after in the health spa.

happy 13th birthday of Irelands 1st parkrun 🇮🇪 that took place with 159 participants at Malahide Castle on this very date of '10.11.12' & #parkrun continues to grow in strength and numbers. Thus due thanks to all involved and especially so to all the volunteers as without them parkrun would not exist

Naturalists recommend you don’t tidy your garden in autumn too much for the sake of the wildlife. Here’s why. Goldfinches feeding on rudbeckia seed heads next to our patio this lunchtime. Beautiful birds. Photo taken through the patio door hence the slight blurriness

Did three hours of exercise today. Good upper body and core work out. I was raking and collecting up leaves in our back garden. Front still to do.

Still unable to run or even walk fast so am going to go swimming this week and will continue to volunteer at #parkrun

Well done to the 159 park runners and walkers who participated in Gorey #parkrun today. And thanks to the volunteers who made it happen. I was on finish tokens today.

#ElonMusk wants his salary in cash. It is being delivered in $100 bills and needs approximately 10,000 pallets and about 500 trailer trucks. Alternatively he can just have a stack of $100 bills 631 miles high. He could do a lot of good with the cash but I guess he won’t.

Extremely grateful for my good health. This year has seen two first cousins pass away at ages of 99 and 89, a son of first cousin age 63 and a niece age 54. I am from a large family. All my 23 uncles and aunts are now dead. I am the youngest surviving first cousin. Live for the moment my friends!

Complete rest was impossible due to visit to UK for a family emergency. I slipped down some stairs as knee gave way whilst lugging a heavy suitcase. Jarred my left leg badly. Limping now whilst walking. Back home now. Will be a while before any exercise. #parkrun finish token volunteer on Saturday.

Interested to know whether #Kibatu will be deported to a prison in Ethiopia or whether once he gets there he will be free to try and return to the UK?

Having a complete rest from all forms of exercise. My injury has been diagnosed as a strain of my gastrocnemius muscle attachment at the knee which is causing pain and inability of my knee to support me whilst running. Having treatment but my only involvement at #parkrun will be to volunteer.

There is no doubt in my mind that the governing parties in Ireland are to blame for the huge number of #spoiltvotes . They whipped their TDs and local councillors to not approve potential candidates other than their own and they chose very poor candidates in Gavin and Humphries.

Our car broke down yesterday around 50km from home in a car park. Could not get the key into the ignition. Tried wiggling the steering wheel, opening and locking the car etc. We got rescued by the AA. All it took was a squirt of silicone lubricant into the ignition lock! If only we had known.

I wonder as David Lammy sat on the front bench alongside Keir Starmer at #pmqs he remembered his passionate speech from 2019 about remaining in the EU. He and the Government are well aware of the harm #Brexit has done to the U.K. and they can now do something anout it. youtube.com/watch?v=1XEj...
