I really did quite the opposite of this. Happened on the street where many people were walking. I whipped my head around to see who noticed and, yep, ok, all of them did.

I think a pair of Solovairs will be my next nice shoe purchase. Currently breaking in some Astorflex loafers and they are 👌

It’s not the way I want to worship, but much of that is from my own trauma as a former church band musician. Not every hymn can distill the Nicene Creed fully into everyone’s heart, and that’s fine.

Thanks for sharing this. While I despise the industry of CCM, I think two realizations helped me grapple and then stop caring as much: 1) there are plenty of bad hymns, as bad as the bad CCM songs; 2) if all worship is based off the psalms, there’s bound to be some petty/trite lyrics occasionally.

I prefer the Celebrities version because they’re approaching it more like the game it is rather than over-dramatizing everything. Seeing Stephen Fry have no idea who the traitors are is charmingly disarming.

We’re a few episodes behind but so far it’s been so much better than normal Traitors

A Laudian Crypto-Liberal is a liberal who has no time for Puritanism. A Crypto Liberal Laudian is what happens when Richard Hooker invests in Bitcoin.

That’s really something. Though the amount of footnotes attached to “true bugs” has me going down another rabbit hole.

Gotta dip the Mennonite pretzels in some German mustard, it’s a game changing snack and also a good excuse to drink a lot of beer

I have so many questions

The instruments of communion definitely need to be refined. But what we are seeing, at the ground level at least, is that people want to worship together. I guess I just think that's neat, and keeps me from jumping off the ledge.

Just putting that reminder out there as I add to the bloviation.

They attend our liberal parishes. They attend our conservative parishes. They bring their traditions and families. The liturgies are a bit different, but they don't care about that enough to stop attending. And it's been plenty long enough to know whether they'll keep attending or not.

I think he highlights something of the Canadian contextual role in all of this. There has been a large influx of African immigration the past many years. A large portion of them who are Anglican just...show up to our Anglican parishes.

Me as a small child reading the article: wait, is the hospital just a Radio Shack? Are we all robots???

The colours work together a bit better than St Mike’s. Though I prefer how NA robes close instead of being open like UK robes.
