I came across “Leaked Recipes” in August and was so delighted but how truly absurd and odd it was and bought it immediately as go to gifts for friends.

The Dutch’s short tenure in Taiwan (1624-1662) has everything to do with the historic China tea trade and how the Dutch introduced tea to Europe.

It was the Dutch who created a market for tea in France and England and all of Europe.

Fun fact: the Dutch set up Fort Amsterdam (today’s NYC) the same year they set up Fort Zeelandia in Taiwan: 1624.

Maps look similar, and the Dutch Wall is the only thing that remains in Fort Zeelandia (same wall idea as Manhattan’s Wall Street)
