Latest #pottery firing results: my glazes never quite turn out as I expect but I appreciate the moodiness of the gray greens! Plates, soy sauce bowls, a few #matcha mixing bowl things, and a small vase/pencil pot #ceramics
Six small soy sauce dipping bowls - two each of of blue, green, and speckled pink swirled with white glazes. All are shiny. Three shallow plate-bowls: 2/3 colored glazes that are shiny (pink, blue-green, and copper-brown-green) and 1/3 matte white glaze. They are resting on a wooden surface. Photo of multiple pieces of pottery resting on a white bedsheet. There are 2 matcha mixing bowls with small spouts and six soy sauce bowls with a swirled mix of glazes: pink and white, blue and white, and green and white. In the background is a cylinder/small vase with a green-gray glaze on the top half and a matte white glaze on the bottom half. The matcha bowls in the foreground are half matte white, half light green on the bottom of one, and half gray-green on the top of the other.

Things I do to get a brain break in a tiny thread: fret about this incomplete puzzle and doing test glaze combinations for the ceramics I make. For the curious, I was inspired by tips from @karaleighceramics.bsky.social: #ceramics #pottery

Consider doing some or all of the following. There are many ways to slow down the erosion of basic decency, even if you can't stop them outright.

Especially if you are cishet and of the majority group in power. Use that assumption of privilege and in-group to slow their roll. #resist
