Pretty important @nytimes.com.
This story doesn't mention that Donald Trump said at this event he would label those protesting Tesla as domestic terrorists and would punish them.

I'm just wondering how and why that was left out of this story and not the lede to it.

Which is why Elon is panicking, Trump is panicking, and their shadow backers are all panicking.

Again, this should be the end of it, & the fact that we’re tolerating it is both a massive national security crisis & a massive constitutional crisis. Maybe nothing ever mattered, but I don’t think that’s actually true, & one wonders why we are so deeply unserious now.

The President of the United States confessed that he has no respect for national borders or sovereignty. Egged on by the richest man in the world he expressed broad imperialist plans to take over two sovereign nations.

Will we allow him to do this in our name?

I disagree with many points in the CR, but I will never vote to shut our government down.

One of my companies informed me they cancelled a $2m conference in Florida. Why ?

They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.

That’s a city that lost a ton of tourism revenue.

I wrote a whole book about the first month of the destruction of our government, and will be appending a coda to alert readers to the fact that in the third and fourth months after Trump took office the bulk of the American government was summarily destroyed.
