As well the scale issue is huge, just not practical, and as you mentioned it does ecological damage and does not address the primary issue.

It is hard to grow universities when you are slashing the number of foreign students coming in. Also, replacing civil servants with AI will drain communities of one of their most precious resources, water. I am sure your government is aware of how much water AI requires.

I hope more people will be aware thar AI uses an incredible amount of one of our most precious resources, which is water. But I guess our governments will be OK with water shortages and more drought to provide AI services.
