Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified 🥳

Ive been involved in hiring at several of the companies I’ve worked at. At one company, I saw all of the direct applications, I was the first person to review them.

The quality was *terrible*. Most people put zero effort into their application.

A tiny bit of effort can go a long way. 🧵

In case you missed it: Bluesky runs on-prem. They migrated off of AWS months back.

So yeah, they DO need to put orders in for servers! (Good luck to the dev team!)

this is why framework wars completely miss the point

we’re artisans of code… and identifying totally with a tool you use is very limiting
If you allow traitors, I'd be honored to be in that list😂
I work with vue everyday & have a podcast episode with a maintainer coming up, so I'd consider myself part of the community
But at the same time I'm kind of engaged to this orange framework as well.. it's complicated😭

Leaked photo of Svelte Japan double agents infiltrating @vuefes last week🕵️‍♂️
What did we uncover?
Findings: vue's community is filled to the brim with lovely & open people who strive to share the solutions they came up with while yak shaving with the wider web dev world

Gotta say this is a pretty wonderful starter pack @ryantrimble.com has put together.

The “Follow all” button is a no-brainer.

this is an awesome workshop and really shows how KCD has innovated on quality ceiling of what a self-paced workshop can be in practice

excellent (also free!)
I feel like y'all might get a real kick out of this. We dive in pretty deep and it'll give you an idea of the learning experience I've been working toward for the last decade.

Any devs that want to play with the ATPROTO / bluesky API, I did a bunch of experiments last year:

github.com/wesbos/blue-...

A cli tool, a reply bot, a top users scraper (though that was when this place had 30k users, not 13 million)
