The biggest surprise of 2024 for me is when I finally decided to read A Journey of Black and Red. I never saw a novel that looked like it was made to cater to me so much, and I ignored it for years.

So reading this issue a single question kept reminding in my mind. The same question that I thought of when seeing the rosters for the core team members after Krakoa. Why is Emma out here bothering Kitty when Scott, Erik, and Illyana have started a new team?

Gathering my thoughts, I no longer truly have any interest in what will spin off from #arcane. This kind of needlessly cruel storytelling where tragedy is telegraphed, seems like what they are going for. I had enough of that reading Greek myths as a kid. Maybe I'll feel different eventually. Maybe.

So #arcane fumbled at the finish line. Does it make narrative sense for Warwick to come back as a threat so the main character can die, but every other being that was controlled by Viktor is shut down. Who made that decision? Where is the logic?

Am I the only one that got introduced to cultural appropriation through the book Shogun some 25-30 years ago and now I refuse to even glance at the series adaptation?
