I just finished The Fifth Season and holy shit, now I understand why people are raving about it. Not only is the world building 10/10, as a writer myself I can only gasp at the structure, POV and voice of this book. I’m glad I don’t have to wait for book 2! 💙📚

Hi, im Insa and I’m finally moving on from instagram. I’m a writer (currently writing a sapphic dystopian fantasy novel), avid reader, gamer, and I’m one of those SJW leftist that go to protests too much 🌈 chat with me in German & English 💜
Meet the writer: Aspiring cozy fantasy protagonist, recovering people pleaser, neurodivergent queer auntie vibes, elder millennial Fun facts: I'm German, but for some reason I prefer to write (and read) in English. When I started writing, it was exclusively fanfiction (none of which can be found online, thankfully). I also thought I invented fanfiction. I didn't. I'm notorious for writing first drafts that I don't edit (see WIP list a few slides further). When I write, I bounce back and forth between silence and VERY LOUD MUSIC (& I always listen to songs on repeat). I was a pantser for the longest time, but for the sake of my brain I need to become more of a plotter. I love good coffee. But coffee hates me. Favorite Books (among others): Imogen Obviously by Becky Albertalli, The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer, Geabreakers by Zoe Hana Mikuta, The Grishaverse by Leigh Bardugo, The Spirit Bears its Teeth by AJ White and Legendborn by Tracy Deonn Some of my favorite video games: Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us 1 & 2, Stardew Valley
