And this is why I’m never going to write a book, and 90% of my answers to patients start with “It depends.”

If some HCP tells you every single person should do the exact same thing for an outcome and doesn’t take into account where you’re starting from… please run.

It’s boring honestly. It’s slowly building strength, and addressing weaknesses. It’s breaking down your goals into components, figuring out what anatomical variations you have that need to influence your approach, and taking it step by step.

If HCP would slow down, would actually use their platforms to TEACH, to explain what progressions should look like, what it looks like when you’re READY to progress, audiences could help themselves.

But that content isn’t flashy, it doesn’t come with punchy phrases.

These people are just trying to help themselves. They’re trying to understand their bodies and take care of them

And because people sell shit to make money, they’re left in the weeds. They’re left with rules instead of understanding. Lists of exercises instead of strategic strengthening

I’ve got people trying to do Bulgarian split squats when they can’t do a single lunge. I’ve got people concerned because their foot doesn’t line up against a book. I’ve got people who have been told that they should deadlift or that they shouldn’t deadlift.
