Criticisms of Wicker Park pedestrianization for *one day a month* reminds me of Montreal's summer streets program. Removing car lanes allows more seats for the elderly, those with disabilities, or any resident just wanting a place to rest.

Something missing that I think warrants some discussion: The Mayor claimed that a "nationwide search" occurred, but as @nikhunder.com FOIA'd it, that was a lie. The mayor lied.

Going through H3 2023 Half-marathon results and damn I didn't realize @aldermanlaspata.bsky.social had that speed in him, finished 20th overall.

Day 27! Give it up for day 27!

Really frustrated on the lack of Bike Rack installations finished from the CDOT website, considering there are some 2 years old and none are pending!

I see the report of 16 million homes are vacant - but there's a variety of reasons they are empty. 2/3 are for rent or vacation homes. Detroit is the 3rd largest for vacancy because many homes are derelict and unlivable. Cities absolutely should spend the time to build affordable housing.

People will bend over backwards - like this design to increase the "greenspace" of Lasalle street in Chicago - before giving up an inch of space for cars.

Had an absolutely amazing time volunteering for the Nettlehorst Bike Bus last week. What an awesome crew that brings kids safely to school!
