This is the kind of excessive force case DOJ routinely prosecutes. They should open an investigation here, based on the misconduct not the victims status.

There are few things as cost effective as Narcan, especially in a country where (entirely preventable) opioid overdoses have been a leading cause of death for years. For every 6 kits distributed 1 OD is prevented. The $56M in this grant trained >66K people and distributed >282,500 kits in 2024 alone
RFK Jr. to End 'Godsend' Narcan Program That Helped Reduce Overdose Deaths Despite His Past Heroin Addiction
Despite overcoming heroin addiction himself, RFK Jr. is backing plans to cut a critical Narcan program that helped reduce overdose deaths.

It’s not the avocado toast.
My first apartment in 1994 was $350/month. Adjusting for inflation, that apartment should now rent for $744/month.

It actually rents for $1500. Greed and inflation are hurting the kids, not their Starbucks lattes.

Maybe we should honor the women who were real astronauts.

From left to right are Shannon W. Lucid, Margaret Rhea Seddon, Kathryn D. Sullivan, Judith A. Resnik, Anna L. Fisher, and Sally K. Ride. NASA selected all six women as their first female astronaut candidates in January 1978.

Call them and give “em hell! It’s “we the people” for a reason a-holes.
Are your senators on this list? Let these Democrats know they’re letting you down. 👇
This week, there were 7 confirmation votes in the Senate. And after millions and millions of people showed up over the weekend at #HandsOff events around the world, 18 Democrats joined with Republicans to confirm 5 of those nominees. Someone explain it to me like I'm 5.

Fox “news” posts a headline “Flu vaccine linked to higher infection rates, says early research”

The article then clarifies it’s not peer reviewed research and that a clinical professor of medicine found it “misleading”

That headline is dangerous and intentional.

The lack of interaction on Bluesky is giving me the sads. I like what this platform is attempting to be but it’s lonely when just about every notification is a follow and 3/4 of those are bots/scams.
