I selected 1 to what I think are the two worst arguments; mentioning water and electric usage. Less likely to everything else. Skew their data one survey at a time

Wikipedia says Creve Couer + Parkway North

St Louis isn’t even on there. This was one of three major protests here

This. If we don’t hold to strict evidentiary standards, then it just becomes “oh well the police said this so it’s true” (which is what the small town cops who arrested him are probably much more accustom to)

Okay, you’re not allowed to engage the two goal lead thingy anymore

I’d be surprised if they get their $270k back

Fair. It’s more the signal this sends and the intent behind it than whether this specific decision to pause is the right one

And pausing does allow it to be picked up in a year but let’s have some achievable public transit priorities in the meantime (which should’ve been paired with this directive)

We had the perfect set of circumstances and we couldn’t get it done - that’s on East-West Leadership, Roach, Krewson, Jones, etc

Now we have the opposite set of circumstances and the hard truth is that it’s not happening anytime soon, so let’s refocus our priorities elsewhere

I hear you, there’s just not a near term path.. we need ~$800M from the federal government and Trump’s DOT Secretary has made it clear they’re prioritizing highways and roads, not public transit

Why continue spending money on an application that won’t even be looked at?
April 30, 2025 at 5:30 PM
agree. it’s absurd that voters passed a $10M / year tax in 2017 with a mandate to make it happen, that a few years later, we then had a pro train President who got congress to spend $1T on infrastructure and yet here we are 8 years later with nothing and absolutely no path forward

Thanks, good tips. Amazon is hard
April 30, 2025 at 12:58 AM
How did you replace them?
April 30, 2025 at 12:52 AM
We just completely missed the boat. We had the biggest train advocate as President who got congress to fund over $1T in infrastructure and, despite having collected north of $70M since the 2017 ballot initiative, we never submitted a grant application to cover 60% of the $1B price tag

The Van Hollen declaration will be interesting

He told Maddow last night that the Court would be hearing about the details of his visit

I find them to be 20-25% more expensive than a local label print shop we use (and that’s before you consider logistics which is free vs UPS / FedEx). Only difference is 500 piece minimums

Demand viewpoint diversity in the Trump admin, else withhold funding?

I read what he said as > 5% not = 5%
