A few doctrines I can't reconcile with the gospel of Jesus Christ:
1) Hell as eternal conscious torment.
2) Jesus' death as penal substitution.
3) Women as subordinate to men.
4) Nations as Christian, demanding our allegiance.
5) Any race as inferior, requiring segregation.

We are in a consequential moment. For many of us, not a lot is changing—we live our lives much as we've always done. But if we listen to those who are most vulnerable to harm, we can hear their fear, their suffering.

May we have the ears of God to hear the cries of the oppressed (Exod 3:7).

Munroe Bergdorf On Trump 2.0 And The War On Woke: “Your Exhaustion Is Precisely The Point”

Munroe Bergdorf On Trump 2.0 And The War On Woke: “Your Exhaustion Is Precisely The Point”
“To me, witnessing Trump’s accelerated targeting of trans people feels like looking into the future and seeing what will happen to our politics here – if we don’t start fighting back together.”

On my first Amtrak train, I am learning delays are part of the journey and a lot of Amish folks use the train. In the spirit of anabaptism 500 - I want to say what is up fam!

I've been trying to tell y'all this...
The NT does not identify & describe God as the one "who ultimately crucified Jesus," but rather as the God "who raised Jesus from the dead.”

Acts 5:30; Rom 4:24; 6:4; 8:11; 10:9; 1 Cor 6:14; 15:15; 2 Cor 4:14; Gal 1:1; Eph 1:20; Col 2:12; 1 Thess 1:10; Heb 13:20; 1 Pet 1:21.🧵

Another great ep. On Sacrifice - from Matt and Dru, I admit I had a Girard phase (like most Mennonites did) a few years back.
