In 2014 I tried to warn the U.S. government of the coming deluge of Russian disinformation. They didn’t listen. And now the president of the United States is openly using disinformation against the American people.
With every attempt to silence his critics with lawsuits and intimidation, with every firing of those who sought to uphold the constitution, with every attack on the rule of law, with every lie that he posts as a “truth”, we step perilously closer to an autocracy of Donald Trump’s making.
