It all started with Erdogan wanting to have a $20 BILLION money laundering and bribery case (in which Erdogan is directly implicated) dismissed. During Trump’s first term Erdogan deployed clandestine envoys, including Rudy Giuliani, to persuade Trump to intervene in the case.
