To be fair, he probably considers himself an expert at losing by now.

I'm so confused, I've never seen a single "one tower bridge" logo for Vancouver. Do you think we still have a basketball team? 🤔

What does government-led climate action look like in a post-carbon tax Canada? Our new report spells it out.

Making big polluters pay for their emissions is the least controversial thing in the world. Now is the time to make it happen.

The BC government promised to make polluters pay when they cancelled the carbon tax earlier this year. A new report by @greenpeaceca.bsky.social shows them how it can be done.

Reading between the lines here...

Does this mean that a Neuralink is now operational, and is connected directly between Musk's brain and Grok?!

I can't really find any other explanation.

Indigenous artists and @greenpeaceca.bsky.social volunteers showed up at the @themetalsco.bsky.social HQs in #Vancouver and painted a street mural to denounce their plans to start deep sea mining (with the help of Trump). @greenpeace.org @anitaoakvilleeast.bsky.social @mark-carney.bsky.social

And... They blocked me. I'd recommend folks block them and maybe report the post. I like my bsky to be factual.

BYD, pictured in the article and the poster boy of cheap electric cars got the lowest human rights ranking last year.

We call it a climate JUSTICE movement, for a reason. We're not willing to throw workers under the bus to make the transition a little cheaper.

I think most environmental groups, and those who dedicate their work lives at them, believe that solutions exist in system wide changes, not through individual actions. Having said that I think it's also unfair to criticize folks working for progress for not being perfect.

Reminds me of this ;)

I care first and foremost about people & planet.

After looking at the "sponsors" I'm thinking that this report was not written with those values in mind.

What is good for business is not always good people. As we see in the US, businesses will only look out for themselves if put them in charge.

Greenpeace best photos of 2024 are out.

Climate disasters are growing more frequent and more destructive. It is important we do not grow desensitized to it. In the photo below Greenpeace documents impacts of torrential rains in eastern and southern Spain.

This will be an extremely costly and destructive policy the US will attempt to inflict on its own population.

Failure is almost certain, but the damage caused will be felt for generations.

Greenpeace activists have boarded a tanker that is set to load toxic plastic chemicals.

The action follows the release of new analysis by @cielorg.bsky.social which reveals that over 220 petrochemical lobbyists are attending the final Global Plastics Treaty talks in Busan

Thank you @raincoast.org for making the invisible visible!

The report reaffirms that plastic pollution needs to be tackled at all levels.

That's why @greenpeaceca.bsky.social is in Busan, Korea this week to push for a global plastic treaty.

Last week, my colleague @climatekeith.bsky.social risked arrest by delivering an important message to the leader of the conservative party of Canada. Here's a side by side comparison of top comments on his post Twitter vs. Bluesky.

Height of hypocrisy, Pierre Poilievre brought donuts to the convoy that paralyzed the city. But Greenpeace activists are arrested within hours for standing in the driveway of his publically paid for residence.

Free speech when it's convenient for him AND for his friends in the fossil fuel industry.

As written by @sethdklein.bsky.social many of us in the climate movement need to do things differently... For some of us ( @greenpeaceca.bsky.social ), we need to do more. Here's a start!

The message is clear: @greenpeaceca.bsky.social will not stand by while Pierre Poilievre betrays Canadians by protecting the biggest polluters in Canada from having to act on climate change.

Early this morning, activists from @greenpeaceca.bsky.social chained themselves to a replica of an oil pump jack surrounded by wildfire in the driveway of Stornoway, the official residence of the federal Leader of the Opposition, Pierre Poilievre
