I love my silver Slim! I bought pretty cheap from a friend back in high school. I did have to replace the laser module once but it was a surprisingly easy job. Recently spent probably a bit too much to get the matching vertical stand from Japan on EBay but come on this look is iconic!

Any of the original run of EA Canada developed Need for Speed games. My personal favorite has always been Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit so I’m biased towards that but the pinnacle is probably the next one, Need for Speed: High Stakes. It has all the tracks from NFSIII plus a lot more content.

I’m a big fan of both Oxenfree games, I love the hand-drawn artstyle, creepy supernatural radio signals horror and how you use it to solve puzzles especially in the sequel, the Pacific Northwest settings, and the characters and their interactions and dialog.

I do have a modern Polaroid Flip and I had an unopened pack of some limited edition monochrome green film they released last summer, so I tried it with that. Made this little display with my original Xbox which though was fitting for the color of the film and it turned out pretty good!

My lucky streak on cameras at thrift stores continues, this time I found an old school Polaroid for $5! Works great too!

What a pain in the ASS. The new one’s plug is a little different, had to carefully shave some tabs off either side that weren’t where they should be. I saw this mentioned in the reviews for a lot of aftermarket batteries, so was prepared to do that. But I got it!

Found my GameBoy Micro recently after a long time, and it still works! But the original battery was toast. 45 minutes of gameplay tops. Time to fix that! Picked up an aftermarket battery that’s actually a little boost over the original’s capacity, 600mah vs. 460mah on the stock one.

Can also crank it down to 4mp and get a bit of that old scool “digicam” look that everyone’s going crazy over (I admit as an owner of various cheap digital cameras in the 2000s I’m nostalgic for it too)

$5 thrift store find the other day!! Nikon Coolpix L30 point-and-shoot digital cam from 2014. In incredible shape, still works great! Took it with on a hike to test it out, actually has very respectable performance even for today at its full 20mp setting:
