Join us! Pasadena has plans to add traffic calming to four neighborhood streets to make them safer for everyone, including people driving, walking, and biking. This ride will tour some of the planned greenways with two city council members and a member of Pasadena DOT staff to discuss the project.

“I’m an avid cyclist but...”
Exactly the problem. We don’t need infrastructure just for avid cyclists, we need it for those new and/or apprehensive riders who are terrified of riding through their cities.

Happy #EarthDay to everyone except the driver who honked and yelled at me for existing on a bicycle on a neighborhood street and the SUV driver enjoying her lunch while parked on a shady street with her engine running on this 67° day 🙄

I visited San Luis Obispo this weekend and enjoyed their bike infrastructure. It felt very comfortable biking around! But the best part was that the drivers seemed to be used to the bikes and much more chill. No one honked, tailgated, or close-passed us. Amazing!

Really excellent placement at this red light. I mean, the intersection has a university on one side and a K-12 school on the other so no real reason to keep the crosswalks clear, right? 🙄

“We put in a bike lane but no one uses it. I guess we’re not a biking culture.” (To paraphrase @tomflood.bsky.social 😂)

A reminder: in the past, when a singer's mic cut out during the U.S. National Anthem at a hockey game in Canada, the entire arena stepped in, singing every single word of the Star Spangled Banner together.

Tonight, thanks to Trump, Canada is booing during the National Anthem.

Pro tip: in these final, hurried pre-holiday hours, you’ll feel a lot less stabby when you get to your destination if you ride your bike there!

It’s been about 5 hours and I’m still mad about my argument with a driver who close passed me on a narrow 25 mph street and then (when I met him at the red light he was racing to) told me it was the law that I had to get out of the way of cars. I’m sorry, what now? #CarBrain

Never forget, if you design a city for cars, it fails for everyone, including drivers.

If you design a multi-modal city that makes walking, biking and public transit attractive options, it works better for everyone, including drivers.

INCLUDING DRIVERS.

The “war on cars” has always been a lie.
