Working on my first novel. Waiting for the next goth night. Wondering if I’ll ever get to see The Cure.
As I await one of my library audiobooks to become available, I’ve found myself back on Audible, picking up where I left off on #Sandman season 2.

Feels uncomfortable listening to Neil narrate, but oh my, how I have missed James McAvoy reading as Morpheus.

I may be done with my beta reader edits, but the Hemingway editor says I have 29 adverbs in just one chapter. My work on this book is far from over. 🥲

As much as I don’t want to admit this, I think my WIP has one more revision to go. 🤦🏽‍♀️

What is it about Andrew Garfield that brings to mind the image of a late aughts pop punk singer?

Just finished a wonderful coaching session with a friend who is helping me with my writing fears.

Sometimes, willpower isn’t enough. Reframing old thought patterns and holding onto glimmers of strength and goodness can start you on a new path you didn’t even know already existed.

Happy birthday @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com!
Did you know you share your birthday with the frontman of Twin Tribes? Excellent post-punk band from South Texas that are def worth a listen if that’s your bag.

Every year, I get on a Type O Negative kick after Halloween. And every year, I fondly, and sadly, remember their front man, Peter Steele.

If you, like me, want to appreciate horror but are too big a scaredy cat, I would like to recommend Ghost Team. 👍👍

Was screenwriting easier in the 90’s? Just watched Sabrina for the first time and I’m baffled by the leaps in plot and character development.

Me, after the last week and a half of no editing. Also me, now that my other commitments have been fulfilled.

“When writing your protagonist’s flaws, look to their strengths. Every strength has a downside.”
-Alex Kourvo, The Write Better Fiction Podcast

Sound advice when working on characterization.
