Ah the interesting thing for me here is that while I like some of them, the Mission Impossible vibe is not really something that I look for (though that may be a result of still generally finding Tom Cruise incredibly offputting)

Oh yeah, I like many of them too but I dunno, we got three pretty good Craig Bond movies out of five, which isn't the worst ratio in the franchise.

To be fair, Bond had the OG weird toxic fanbase!
My counterpoint to this though is that the Bonds that have very little continuity were also usually bad. I had issues with some of the Craig movies but the movies having more connective tissue between them wasn't really one of them.
