Leaving everything aside, the idea that my lack of a womb has been a magic shield protecting me from gendered violence is the most widespread, unexamined, and everyday example of transmisogyny, and it's not an idea that should be allowed to remain unchallenged.

Trans women talk a lot about trans women's issues because most institutions, despite the amount of time they spend talking ABOUT us, do not give a shit about listening TO us, or actually give a damn about transmisogyny! It's actually really important for us to correct that and push back against it!
